American Gunner is giving out a free Neck Knife! The saying is “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth”, so we just had to review it!

Hunters often use their hunting knives and for their specific purpose they make their own specific demands on their hunting knives. These specific demands can be that the knife must lie well in the hand, have the right notches for the fingers or the knife has to have a certain blade length.

Close at hand yet inconspicuous: that’s the description of a neck knife. The knives are made out of one piece and therefore very strong due to a lack of a hinge or a locking point. Because a neck knife is so small and light you can easily wear it in a small sheath on a cord around your neck. Discreet, so as not to scare people, but still close to you.

Manufacturers pay a lot of attention to the design of the handle. This way, despite the small size, you have enough grip on your neck knife.

First impressions

A neck knife should be compact, should have a good sheath, and should be easy to conceal. This free neck knife has a total length of 4 inches and is around 0.4 inches wide. The sheath that comes with this knife looks pretty cool as well.

Free Neck Knife Including Sheath Size Dimensions Length

The necklace that comes with it has a total length of 27 inches. You can hang the sheath at 3 different lengths.

Handle

The handle actually looks pretty decent. Most smaller knives have issues with the handles. This plastic handle actually feels really nice. The plastic also keeps the weight down.

Blade

Don’t be fooled by the knife’s size! The blade on this knife is razor sharp! The length of the blade is 2.28 inches and is partly serrated. The thickness of the blade is 0.08 inches and the width is 0.393 inches.

This partly serrated neck knife isn’t that strong but it’s sharp as a knife!

Sheath

American Gunner also provides a sheath with the neck knife. The sheath is made from standard ABS material. It’s a great sheath for this knife. It completes the look of the knife!

Free Neck Knife Including Sheath

If you want to store your knife in the sheath, simply slide and click-lock it into place. The knife shouldn’t release from the sheath without firmly pressing the release button.

Performance

This free neck knife from American Gunners is for every-day carry. This quality knife gives you a quick access blade you can use in an instant.

Nevertheless, the performance of this neck knife doesn’t lie! Because the knife is fixed, there is no hinge point or lock that can break it. Because a neck knife is so small and light you can easily wear it in a small sheath on a cord around your neck. Inconspicuous, so as not to scare people, but still close to you.

Because this neck knife is so small, you can easily conceal them under your clothing. I can imagine that this neck knife will come handy in a lot of situations.
